The South African College of Business (SACOB) is gearing up for the festive season by giving away bursaries for the full ICB Junior Bookkeeper National Certificate (SAQA ID: 58375) to lucky matriculating students. Valued at approximately R20 000, each bursary consists of four skills programmes: Bookkeeping to Trial Balance, Business Literacy, Payroll and Monthly SARS Returns and Computerised Bookkeeping. The job market is a notoriously tough nut to crack and a matric qualification alone is no longer sufficient to gain access to the working world. SACOB’s intention with this initiative, which is aimed specifically at school leavers, is to offer South Africa’s next generation workforce a golden opportunity at a time when they need it most.
